Fresh from the estate of a folk art collector, an Ocumicho Mexican pottery sculpture of the Last Supper. It has the following impressed maker's mark on the bottom: Antonia Martinez Albarez, Calle 71.This folk art piece measures! 3 3/4'' wide and 11'' tall.
Evidently the base broke apart and was put back together when it was being made, perhaps it broke during firing. You can see where it was fixed on the bottom but I don't think it was a later repair because the painted border around the bottom goes right over it. There is one break that I did not immediately notice because you can only see it from the back. Shown in the last photo, the back part of the face is broken off from one of the figures.
